Everyone is invited to a symposium on debate education co-sponsored by the Institute of Languages & Cultures, Kyushu University and the Japan Debate Association.  This is a part of the 1999 Japan-United States Debate Tour supported by the U.S. National Communication Association, which tours around Japan from June 10 through June 27.  （Message from the Team)

13:00 - 15:00 Debate U.S. Team vs. Kyushu U. ESS Team
                        Resolved: That the Japanese government should take non-threatening
                        diplomatic measures to promote amicable relations with North Korea.
15:10 - 16:00 Lecture "Values of Debate in Education"
16:10 - 17:30 Debate & Discussion "Should Japanese students learn to debate?"
18:00 - 19:30 Reception
